Gerutu – PEFC-Certified Light Hardwood for Interior Joinery and Paneling
Gerutu is a light to medium-density tropical hardwood from Southeast Asia, particularly Malaysia and Indonesia. Recognized for its pale yellow-brown to light reddish-brown tones, fine to moderately interlocked grain, and smooth texture, Gerutu is often selected where a consistent appearance and ease of machining are desired.
Lightweight yet stable, Gerutu is easy to work with and takes finishes well, making it an excellent option for both handcrafted and factory-produced wood products. As a PEFC-certified sustainable timber, Gerutu supports eco-conscious construction and ethical sourcing practices.
